UMR

UMR technically isn’t an insurance company in itself. It’s known as a third-party administrator (TPA) and is one of the largest in the United States. UMR works with clients and insurance companies to make the claims process seamless. Their goal is to handle healthcare’s complex and confusing parts so their customers don’t need to. They also connect employers to plans that suit them. Behavioral healthcare – including mental health and addiction treatment – is often covered by the insurance companies that work with UMR.

Speaking of plans that suit them – we do that at Wolf Creek, too. If you come to see us, you’ll undergo an assessment to help us develop an individualized treatment plan that works for you. That plan could include the following:

• Partial hospitalization program (PHP) with housing. You’ll come to our main facility for therapy and other activities during the day, then return to housing provided by Wolf Creek in the evening.
• Intensive outpatient program (IOP) with housing. This is like our PHP but requires less time at our treatment facility. You won’t have therapy every day, and it won’t be for as long when you do have it.
• Trauma therapy. Trauma is one of the primary factors that drives substance use disorders. Trauma-based therapies like EMDR and others will help you heal from the pain of your past.
• Group therapy. Support from others in recovery is huge – so you’ll share your experiences, encourage one another, and grow together while undergoing therapy guided by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles.
• Co-occurring mental health treatment. We treat the whole person at Wolf Creek, so we diagnose and treat any mental health conditions appearing alongside substance use disorders. We can manage medication, too.
• Outdoor adventure therapy. We camp, canoe, paddleboard, play team sports, and more in the great outdoors to give you a glimpse of what the world has to offer when you aren’t taking substances.
